System Requirements

typealot is a fast, local-first desktop editor for Windows and macOS. Here is what you need to run it.

Windows

• Operating system: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
• WebView2 runtime: Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is already installed on most Windows 10 and 11 machines. If it is missing, typealot will prompt you and it is a free download from Microsoft.
• Disk space: about 200 MB
• Memory: 4 GB RAM or more

macOS

• Operating system: macOS 12 (Monterey) or later

Everything stays on your machine

typealot is local-first. Your files live on your own disk in folders you control, and the app works fully offline. Nothing is uploaded to the cloud.
