Outline and Table of Contents

The outline panel

For Markdown documents, typealot can show an Outline panel on the right listing every heading in the document, indented by level. Toggle it with Ctrl+Shift+L (or View → Show Outline). Click any heading to jump straight to it. If the document has no headings, the panel shows No headings.

Inserting a table of contents

To put a real table of contents into the document, use Edit → Insert Table of Contents. typealot builds a linked list of the document's headings at the cursor.
