The Slash Menu and Selection Toolbar

Besides the toolbar, typealot gives you two fast, keyboard-friendly ways to format Markdown.

The slash menu

Type / to open the slash menu and pick a block to insert. Start typing to filter, use the arrow keys to move, and press Enter (or Tab) to insert. It offers:

• Headings (levels 1–6)
• Paragraph, Quote, Code Block, Divider, Table
• Lists — bullet, numbered, and check lists
• Image and other media
• An Emoji picker

Press Escape to close the menu.

The selection toolbar

In source view, select some text and a small floating toolbar appears above it with the most common actions: Bold, Italic, Strikethrough, Inline Code, and Link. Press Escape to dismiss it.
