Changing a Password

To change the password on an unlocked encrypted file, choose File → Change Password….

The Change Password dialog warns:

Changing the password also rotates the recovery key. The old recovery key will no longer work.

Enter your Current password, a New password, and Confirm new password, then click Change password.

Because changing the password also generates a new recovery key, typealot shows you the Save Your Recovery Key dialog again afterward. Save the new key — your old one no longer works.
